Overall, petroleum products were the main export earnings in both years, while textiles accounted for the lowest value in revenues. It is worth noting that almost all categories saw an increase in earnings, except for gems and jewelry.
It can be seen that the income of petroleum products exported was the largest in 2015 and 2016, at around $60 billions and $63 billions respectively, which increased slightly by 3%. Following that, engineered goods earnings ranked second, but it experienced a relative rise by 8.5% in two years.
From 2015 to 2016, the export revenues of textiles was lowest, however, it had the most significant increase by 15.29%, from around $26 billions to $31 billions. Meanwhile, agricultural products earnings saw a marginal rise by just 0.81%. In contrast, the only decline in income occurred in the gems and jewelry product group, where export earnings fell by around 5%, from nearly $44 billions to $41 billions.
