The bar chart and the table illustrated the earnings and the percentage of changes in one’s country exports in five categories between 2015 and 2016.
Overall, almost every category displayed an upward trend, with petroleum products being the highest, while textiles were the lowest value.
Between 2015 and 2016, petroleum products, which were the most valuable export earnings increased by 3%, from 60 billion to approximately 63 billion dollars. This was followed by engineered goods, which indicated a significant growth of 8.5%, rising from about 57 billion to more than 60 billion dollars. Respectively, the percentage of textiles also showed a considerable increase by 15.24%, from 27 billion to higher than 30 billion dollars comparing 2015 to 2016.
Agricultural products remained fairly constant, which only slightly went up by 0.81% between the two given periods, while gems and jewelry displayed a declining trend, decreasing by 5.18%, from around 43 billion to 40 billion dollars.
