The chart shows the percentage of people who accessed news from 4 sources from 1995 and projection to 2025
The given line chart illustrates the proportion of 4 different tools people use for approaching news. As can easily be seen, the general trend for Internet is upward, while the opposite was true for the rest 3 sources. This general move is expected to remain for the next 3 years.
Nearly 70% of people accessed news through Television in 1995, but this figures rapidly fell to just under 60% for the next 5 years and continue to decrease at about 50% in 2020. Newspaper also experienced a steadily decrease as the percentages of people reached it’s peak at about 55% in 1995 but continuously declined to reach 30% in 2020. Radio used to be chose by 50% of people, but only under 30% use radio to approach news. All of these medias are predicted to continue to decrease in demand in 2025.
Although in 1995 nearly zero to none of people use Internet, in 2010 this proportions dramatically climbed at about 30%. This growth remaind stable for the next 10 years at 40%, and will continue to rise sharply to reach its peak in 2025 at about 55%, the highest among all.
