The chart shows the total number of minutes of telephone calls in the UK divided into three categories from 1995 to 2002

The bar chart below illustrates the total number of phone calls made in UK, separated into 3 different groups, over the period between 1995 and 2002.
it is clear from the graphic that the most noticeable changes were on the use of mobile calls. In 1995, just an insignificant number of minutes, less than 5 billions, were spent, and over the years it increased to more than 40 billions in 2002.
An increasement it is shown in the number of minutes spend by national and international calls, from almost 40 billions in 1995 to 60 billions in 2002.
Meanwhile, we can observe that people preferred to spend minutes on local calls. They were the leading over the years with non significant changes, an average of 80 billions of minutes, slightly increased in 1998 to 90 billions and after decreased to 70 billions in 2002.
To summarise, the most marked changes can be seen in the use of mobile calls, but to 2002 people had still used the most of the minutes on local calls by fixed line.
