The charts below show the average working hours per week of full-time workers and part-time workers in 3 countries and a comparison with the European average.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given tables illustrate the working hours on an average basis each week of both full-time and part-time laborers in 3 nations compared to the European average in 2002.
Overall, Greece is the country with the longest working hours in the full-time category. It is also noticeable that the UK is the country with the lowest working time in both working categories.
Regarding the full-time labor, Greece had the highest working time in the two genders. The Netherlands came second with the lower working hours than those of the European average, at 38 hours for both sexes. The men’s working hours of the UK were 0.5 hour higher than the women’s ones. The European average hours of both sexes were not sharply different, with the rate of over 1 hour.
Regarding the part-time labor, Greece was still the country in the top position with the longest working time for both genders. However, the women’s and men’s working hours were still lower compared to those of the European average, over 4 and exactly 2 hours lower respectively. The two other countries have the opposite figures. The working time of the women in the Netherlands was quite similar to that of the men in the UK and vice versa.
