The pie chart depicts the percentage of bilingual British students in 2000 and 2010 , who spoke other languages than English. It is very clear from the chrt that Spanish grew in popularity while French lost its importance as second language to be spoken.

Earlier, Spanish was spoken by 30 percentage of British students in 2000 which than grew in popularity by 5.percentage in 2010. A similar trend was observed in students who spoke Another language. Also the pupils speaking Two other languages saw an increase of 5 percentage in 2010 as compared to that in 2000 - which was 10 percentage.

However, the percentage of students speaking German remained constant at 10 percentage in the respective years.

On the other hand, the number of students speaking French came down at 10 percentage in 2010 from that of 15 percentage in 2000. In addition to this, even the few people who spoke No other language than English were found to be 10 percentage less in 2010 than that of 20 percentage in 2000.

Thus, it is evident from the chart that students speaking Spanish, Another language and Two other languages saw an increase in its demand whereas French language and students who spoke no other languge decreased with the constant percentage of German speakers.
