The diagrams given depict the modernization of the village of Seaville located in a coastal area over a period of 30 years from 1980 to 2010.
It is noticeable from the pictures that the village underwent some significant transformations with the most typical one was the constructions of a lot of amenities. Additionally, the woodland was converted into a golf course.
In 1980, in the eastern area, there was an East Bank, which was adjacent to a river. At the same time, sand dunes were flanked by a tea room to the west and the river to the east, whereas the marsh was surrounded by roads. Similarly, a hotel was located to the south of the marsh and next to a holiday cottages to the north
To 2010, while the East Bank, the river and the hotel still existed in the positions where they used to be in 1980, there were the introductions of a restaurant and a new hotel, which were relative to the disapperances of the tea room and the sand dunes. Similarly, a boat club and a retirement village were erected in the poitions next to the river. By contrast, the marsh was demolised to make way for the construction of permanent houses, accompanied by the substitution of the golf course for the woodland.
