The diagrams below show the working of the hybrid car and the reason for its green properties.
Firstly, the car is driven by 2 sources of power, one is petrol engine and the other is electric motor. The petrol engine ignites the mixture includes gasoline and air to create the energy. However, the difference between petrol engine in hybrid car and conventional car is the displacement of the petrol engine is much smaller than the conventional one in order to reduce emission. The main proportion of power from it is sent to the transmission and this transmission drives the wheels which make the car move on road. Another small percentage of energy from petrol engine to electrifies the ECU - energy control unit, which decision the car is pulled from electric motor or petrol engine. The crucial thing make the hybrid car clean is the battery. Its energy level maintained by the movement of the car. The energy from the battery so less power from the petrol is needed which mean reducing the emission. The power from battery transferred to the electric engine whenever the car needs extra power from it. The electric engine makes the car moves like petrol engine, which through transmission and wheels.
In conclusion, the hybrid car using many technique such as small petrol engine's volume and power from rechargeable battery to make it friendlier to environment by reducing the emission.
