The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.

There are two diagrams. The first one illustrates the production of cement, and the other demonstrates the process of making concrete applying cement.
In general, there are four to five steps to create bags of cement out of two ingredients, whereas the process of making concrete is simpler with only one stage, using four ingredients.
To begin with, to produce cement, it requires the two ingredients including limestone and clay. The two components will then be crushed, and created powder. Such a mixture will go through a mixer in the next stage. The powder is transmitted into a rotating heater, where it will be rotated continuously with the heat, after it was mixed. The combination will go through a grinder before it is bagged.
It can be seen that according to the second diagram, in order to produce concrete, cement, water, sand and gravel have to be used in a suitable amount. Specifically, 50% gravel, which is small stones is in need. Besides, 10% of water, 15% of cement and 25% of sand is also used. The four components is then put into a concrete mixer to produce concrete.
