The bar chart illustrates average annual GDP growth in wealthy countries, globalisers and non-globalisers from 1960s to 1990s.
Overall, development of domestic products in countries that have adopted a global approach to business increased dramatically, while in wealthy countries it declined. Non-globalisers also saw a decrease in GDP after some fluctuation rate.
The average growth in domestic products made up nearly 5.0% in developed countries in 1960s, which was the highest figure among three types of countries. However, it experienced a downward trend at the end of the timescale. The percentage of goods and services produced within a country's borders in non-globalisers accounted for nearly 2.5% of the total in the 1960s. In the 1970s it increased to just over 3.0 per cent, but the percentage plunged considerably over the next decade and hit its lowest amount at slightly below of 1.0%. In the 1990s it grew gently to just over of 1.0%.
In 1960s the rate of average growth in domestic products was slightly above of 1.0%. It rose dramatically over the given period and reached a peak at around 5.0% in 1990s.
