The given line graph illustrates the amount of intake of fish and various other types of meat in grams per person per week in a European country from 1979 to 2004.
It is noticeable from the graph that the least favoured food item among the Europeans was the fish throughout the year, whereas, it was chicken which was commonly opted by people since 1989.
It can be seen that in the first 10 years, the quantity of fish consumed by an average individual was nearly 50 grams per week, in fact, it gradually decreased after 15 years and reached almost 45 grams per week. Probing further, meat varieties such as beef and lamb showed a similar trend. The intake of lamb and beef during the initial years were almost 150 and 220 grams per week respectively; however, as years passed the consumption of both the items dramatically declined to nearly 55 and 110 grams per week. Moving forward, it is chicken which on the initial years followed a similar trend as that of lamb, while, increased substantially to 250 grams per week by the end of 2004.
