he line graph illustrates the trend of fish and meat consumption in a European nations in between two given time periods, 1979 to 2004.
The consumption pattern of meat in the given periods is highly fluctuating except for the fish. In 1979, beef was popular among the European national with the consumption of just over 200 grams per person per week followed by 150 grams per person per week of lamp, below 150 grams per person per week chicken and finally about 55 grams per person per week of fish.The sale of beef is slightly increased in the early years whereas drastic decline is observed after 1989 till 2004 attaining second rank within the category with almost 100 grams per person per week consumption rate. Similarly, the utilization of lamp plummets to just around 55 from 150 grams per person per week within the same period. In contrast, the consumption rate of chicken summits above 250 grams per person per week in the final years while the consumption of fish does not show any significant changes within the time frame.
Overall, the demand of chicken is significantly increasing among the Europeans while the consumption of other meat is declining rapidly.
