The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
The line graph illustrates the amount of requires were sent to the Tourist Information Office in a particular city via three different ways, namely in person, letter or email and telephone, between January and June in 2011.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that over a six-month period the two forms being in-person and telephone became the most popular, while written letters and emails were the least common choice.
In January, the Tourist Information Office received around 900 enquires by telephone, nearly 800 written letters and emails were shipped to here. Not many tourists chose to ask for information in person, with just over 400 questions. Over the next three months, the method by telephone increased slightly to approximately 1000 queries, besides, the way of in-person doubles almost compared to the original. Meanwhile, the figure for through letter and email decreased slightly to about 700.
Regarding the rest of the phase, sending questions by in-person continuously experienced an upward trend and reached a peak about 1900 requests. During this period, there was also a significant rise in the figure for telephone enquiries, from 1000 to 1600. By contrast, the number of inquiries got by letter and email fell strongly to less than 400 issues in May and June, it seems that fewer and fewer people used method written by hand and typing
