The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
In the graph provided, the amount of enquiries delivered to the Tourist Information Office of a city over the course of six months shows an upward trend for those received in person and by telephone, while that received by mail went down.
Starting in January, the data for queries made in person was the lowest, with mail-in queries in second and telephone first. During the first month, while the number of questions taken in person went up, telephone-based questions decreased considerably. February to March witnessed a rise in enquiries sent in both in person and by telephone, with the latter still taking the lead. Between March and April, however, the number of enquiries received in person boosted, surmounting that of telephone, which stayed unfluctuated at a 1000. For the remaining two months, data for both directly and phoned questions climbed significantly, reaching almost 400 per month.
The case of questions delivered by either letter or email proves to have a drastically different path than the previous two. The numbers fell by a small margin for January, and remained in a plateau state for February. For the next two months, it decreased gradually, staying in another still state in the last month of the record period.
