The line graph illustrates the number of foreign visitors traveling to three different areas in a European country from 1987 to 2007. Overall, There was an increase in the number of travelers in both 3 areas. The coast had the most visitors traveling while the figure for the mountains was the least
In 1987, there were 10 thousand travelers visiting the mountains, that number had doubled for the lakes ( 20 thousand) and quadruped for the coast ( 40 thousand ). Despite having the lowest number of visitors in the first year, the mountains surpassed the lakes in 1992, with 25 thousand of visitors. Only the coast saw a decline in the number of travelers, with a drop of roughly 5 thousand compared to 1987.
From 1992 to 2007, there was an upward trend in the number of tourists visiting the lakes which rapidly rose to 50 thousand people and reached the highest point of 75 thousand visitors, surpassing the lakes. In addition, the number of travelers coming to the lakes grew steadily and stood at approximately 72 thousand people in 2007, the highest point recorded from the whole period. It seemed that the number of tourists traveling to the mountains went up and down several times, fluctuating from 20 to 35 thousand visitors and finally reaching the highest point in the last year ( 35 thousand ).
