Perceptible, not only the closed shops but also the newly-founded ones registered a drastic fluctuation in their numbers over the 7-year period; however, the figure of the former surpassed that of the latter in some last years albeit the higher position belonging to the latter at first.
In the former half of the 8-year period, despite the higher 2000-shop disparity belonging to the figure of opening stores at 8,500 in 2011, the superior position was of companies declaring bankruptcy in the ensuing years. While the former receded exponentially to 4,000 in 2012 before recovering to 6,100 in 2014, the latter experienced a considerable oscillation at somewhere between 6,000 and 7,100 units in the similar phase.
The rest of the period registered a corresponding ranking pattern. Accurately, the alike moderation to 4,000 and 500 units was recorded respectively for the volume of newly-founded and bankrupt stores in 2015. Thereafter, the latter leaped to 5,100 and stayed intact until the last years while the opposite was true for the former with a diminution to 3,000 units in 2018 after levelling out from 2015 to 2017.
