The line graph compares how many visitors coming to a Caribbean island from 2010 to 2017.
Overall, the total number of tourists experienced a significant jump over 7 years. It is clear that during the first period of 6 years, more comers stayed on the island than those staying on cruise ships, while the opposite trend was seen over the final 1 year.
In the year 2010, 1 million tourists visiting the Caribbean island with about 0.8 million people opting to stay on the island. One year later, this figure remained unchanged, whereas the number of people staying on the cruise ships increased by roughly 0.2 million. In the following 4 years, the figures for island and cruise ship visitors rose sharply to 1.5 million and around 0.3 million, respectively, raising the total number of tourists to approximately 2.8 million. However, the datum was stable for 1 year as the number of people staying on the island when travelling fell by about 0.2 million, while the figure for the other category showed the opposite tendency with the same difference in 2016.
By 2017, the total number of comers to the island had grown and finally reached its peak, at 3.5 million with 2 million visitors staying on cruise ships and 1.5 people staying on the island.
