The graph below shows the percentage of Australian exports to 4 countries from 1990 to 2012.

The given line chart illustrates the proportion of export products from australia between 1990 and 2012.

Generally, exporting goods to china and india shown an upward trend while japan and us had a tendency to import less products from australia during the period of 22 years.

Particularly, india only imported 1% product of the Australian in 1990, and the figure remained stable in the next 10 years. At the same period, the percentage of goods exported to china increased substantially to 5% before rising dramatically to over 10% in the next five years. that proportion to india also climbed to 5% in 2005. However, from 2005 to 2012, the export proportion to india fluctuated, but still remained at 5% at the end of such period, whereas china’s import proportion nearly tripled to 28%.

In contrast, both the percentage of export production to japan and us dropped in the first five years of the period. Nonetheless that proportion of us increased again to just over 10% in 2000, and experienced a small increase in 2012 after declining significantly to 5% in 2010. during such time, the figure of japan decreased to roughly 16%.
