The graph below shows the proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940 and 2040 in three different countries.

The given line graph represents the percentage of grey hair people in three different nations during the period of 1940 to 2040

Overall, it can be observed from the line graph that the America was highest in older population in starting years of the graph, while at the last japan on a top from others.

To begin with, the America and sweden was on same proportion in first five decades there is minor difference between them. In 1940, nine percent old people in usa while it was two percent lowest in sweden as well as it continued with same difference in next two years it was 10% and 15% respectively. In 20th century the percentum of elder individuals in sweden inclined twenty percent, whereas usa on same position in this year.

Moving further, in 2040 sweden and usa will almost same ratio of old age people it will approximately 25 and 23 percent respectively. There are fluctuating trend of japan population it was five percent in starting year after that it continueslly decreased till 2000 ( 3%) but in last year it reached on peak it was 27 percent.
