Write at least 150 words.
The graph provides an information of goods transportation through modes like road, water, rail and pipeline in the UK during 1974 to 2002.
Overall in UK, the roads were the most common way to import and export the goods in comparisons to other modes. In contrast, the pipeline transportation is least preferable for all time since 1974 to 2002. The highest quantity of goods that has been transported through roads is almost 100 million tonnes in 2002, which is approximately 20 times more than the transportation through pipeline in year 1974 that is about 5 million tonnes.
On the other hand, goods transportation through modes like water and rail was almost similar between 1974 to 1978. Also, after that transportation using water modes increased and became constant from 1982 to 1998. Even though there is some slight flactuations between 1978 to 1998, there is no such comparable change in goods transportation through rail in year 1974 and 2002.
Even after many variations in quatities that were transported through all modes, there is one commonality has been noticed which is overall transportation. Total goods transported through road, water, rail and pipeline have been increased throughout the 1974 to 2002.
