Overall, it is clear that the Louvre is by far the most visited museum throughout the period shown. Also, while the number of people, who visited “Louvre” and “Vatican Museums” museums rose gradually , the number of L. S. Museum visitors fall steadily. Interestingly, the figure for Shenzhen Museum remained the same both at the beginning and at the end of the period.
Looking at the graph in more detail, in 1980, the number of visitors of Louvre museum was just under 8 million and rose by approximately two million by the end of the given trend, while the figure for Vatican Museums started the period about 4.8 million and two folded over the same period.
In 1980, the figure for L. S. Museum was just above 4 million and from 1980 to 1985, the trend witnessed a plateau, then dipped steadily by half in 2015. Between 1980 and 2000, the number of Shenzhen Museum visitors declined by around a million, from 2000 onwards, the trend reversed.
