In terms of the number of workers employed in this sector in 2010, it was at about 5,000 in the first month, which increased to approximately 5,500 in February. After two months of rising, it dropped significantly to 3,000 in March and remained unchanged until May. From May to August, the number of staff in the steel sector fluctuated between 3,000 and 3,500, then it dipped consistently and finally reached a bottom at 1,000 in the last month of 2010.
