internet users as percentages of population
The given line graph illustrates the rate of people who used the Internet in three specific countries namely American, Canada, and Mexico from 1999 to 2009.
Overall, the proportion of the digital population in each nation witnessed an upward trend over the period. Furthermore, it is clear that a much larger proportion of Americans and Canadians had access to the Internet in comparison with Mexicans. It is also of note that Canada experienced the fastest growth in Internet usage.
At the beginning of the period shown, about 20 of Americans were able to go online, compared to 10% of Mexicans and 15% of Canadians. Furthermore, the rate of people accessing the Internet in the US and Canada underwent a sharp upturn, with merely 60% while this figures for Mexico grew more slowly, reaching 25% in 2005.
For the next 4 years, approximately 100% of Canadians who browse online platforms. However, that of American and Japan were lower, around 80% and 40% respectively.
