The table, combined with the line chart, give an overall view about how people from four age groups visited cinema over the span of 8 years.
As can be seen from the table, the proportion of attendance was relatively high, remaining around 70 percent during the given period, while the times they frequented cinema reduced slightly from 10.7 times to 8.3 times per year.
Regarding the line, it is noticeable that the number of 14-24 year olds group fluctuated at the largest extent, although reaching a plateau at nearly 14 times in the first 2 years. However, it then fell down to a bottom at only a half in 1998, after which it slighted climbed again, finishing at 10 times. Similarly, the line of 25-34 year olds people fluctuated with the same pattern, starting from 10 times and then declined to approximately 9 times. People who were more than 50 years old paid more visits than those who aged 35-49, chasing closely to the second position at the end with nearly 9 times. 35-49 year olds group came last, finishing at only over 5 times in 2002.
Overall, young people had the most number of visits to cinema, while cinema goers reduced their frequency over time.
