The line diagram provides statistic about the sales of gold in Dubai in the years of 2000-2010. In general, the gold sold in Dubai almost fluctuated annually. Notably, there were wild variations between 2004 and 2006.
The revenue from selling gold stood at 2.5 million of Dirham in 2000. In the following 3 years, this figure approximately stayed unchanged. Not until 2004 did a sudden fall to the lowest point eventuate. Money generated by selling gold made up just over 1.5 million Dirhams. The period of 2004 to 2005 witnessed a prosperous upward trend, which reached a peak of 4 million Dirhams in the end of 2005.
A substantial decrease to 3 million Dirhams in the amount of gold traded was seen 1 year later. During the subsequent period of 2006 to 2010, the turnover from gold sold fluctuated remarkably. Standing at 3.5 million Dirhams in 2010, it was 500 thousand Dirhams more than that in the beginning of this period.
Despite the annual fluctuation, the gold transaction eventually increased by 1 million compared to that of 2000.
