Manifacture bricks for the building industry
The given diagram shows how industrial building bricks are produced. It is clear that there are seven distinct stages in this production process, from the initial collection of clay to the ultimate delivery of packaged bricks.
The process commences when raw material, or clay, is collected through the use of a digger before it goes through a roller, whose role is to sort out unnecessary substances such as metal grids. In the stage that follows, the pure clay is merged with sand and water in a mixture before goes through either a wire cutter or a mould in order to be shaped into bricks. These bricks are then put in a drying oven whose role is to cut down the bricks’ excessive water amounts. This stage lasts between 24 and 48 hours.
The fifth stage first takes place in kilns, where piles of bricks are heated at moderate (200-980oC) to high (870-1300oC) temperatures before being made cold in cooling chambers for a period of 2 to 3 days. Once this stage is complete, they are packed then finally delivered to construction sites by trucks.
