The map below shows the changes that have taken place in Meadowside village and Fonton, a neighbouring town, since 1962

The map provides information about the development of a village called Meadowside and its neighboring town Fonton from 1962 to the present.

Generally, the two places expanded in size and witnessed a great change in the development of the infrastructures. Noticeably, Meadowside and Fonton are no longer separated from each other and are now merged together.

In 1962, both Meadowside and Fonton were completely separated from each other with no railway or road connecting them. While there was a railway that goes through Fonton which is located in the east of the map, there was no railway pass through Meadowside village, situated in the west of Fonton, but only a small road runs along it.

In 1985, there was a considerable increase in the size of both Meadowside village and its neighborhood, moreover, the small road had converted into a big main road that connects the two areas. Furthermore, the village saw a dramatic change in its infrastructure, with new buildings being constructed (housing estate, leisure complex, and a superstore).

Currently, Meadowside village, which has become Meadowside suburbs and Fonton is. In addition, the railway has extended in the northwest of Fonton which leads to the station in the center of the two areas. Furthermore, more facilities and buildings for recreation such as a business park, a hotel, and a station have been built in the center of the map.
