The map below shows the Road System as it is now and proposed changes in future to reduce the number of accident.

The two maps show what construction will be changed in an England residential area for the purpose of reducing the traffic accidents.

As shown in the map, the accidents frequently occur at 3 spots: the first one is in the west of city road, namely in front of the school; the second one is at the intersection of forest road and city road; the third one is opposite to the supermarket, just at a small path way based in the east side of city road.

At present, from the north to the south is the main road forest road, it is also in conjunction with the city road which extends from the west to the east. The west side of city road leads to school which locates in the northwest of the residential area. Otherwise, running down below after reaching the school is the low lane directing to the living district and placing in the west side of forest road, finally linking to the forest road at the end of the path. The supermarket is situated to the east of forest road, residents can get to there by driving along the city road.

In the future, it is noticeable that a roundabout will be built in the heart of the residential area to reduce the speed of vehicles. Another noteworthy change is that the south side of the low lane will no longer be connected to the forest road, citizens here are going to be allowed to drive the only way to reach the forest road, thereby passing the roundabout.

Overall, this proposed road system is likely to be more full reconstructed so as to avoid unexpected accidents.
