The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
The given maps illustrate the construction intention of the Islip town centre.
In general, it is evident that the area is planned to witness the dramatic changes.
In the map describing the Islip town centre now, there are two rows of shops running along the main row. The countryside is on the North of town centers while a large amount of land area in the central and the south is used for building houses. There are some functional works such as School and Park which are near residential area. While the school is built on the left of housing area, the park is on the right and near the row of shops.
There will be the significant growth that the numer of constructions will be builted in the Islip Town Centre. The countryside area and the row of shops on the left of the town will be replaced by various modern projects such as bus station, shopping center and car park. As the development plan, there will be the new housing area located on the North East. The main road will be used for pedestrians only while the dual carriageway will run around the town.
