Essay topics:

THE PIE CHART BELOW SHOW THE AMOUNT OF ELECTRICITY GENERATED BY ENERGY SOURCE IN SCOTLAND FOR 20 YEARS AGO AND LAST YEAR.

The given diagrams give information about the proportion of electricity generated by energy source in Scotland for the last two decades and the previous year.
Overall, there were vague alterations between the two charts, it seems that electricity from coal still being top charted while the percentage of that of hydro pumped occupied the two smallest parts.
As it can be seen from the two pies, the majority amount of electricity was generated by coal, gas and nuclear with coal constituted the largest part of the two pies by 32.7% in last year and nearly 42% for 20 years ago. In the previous year, nuclear-generated electricity outnumbered that of gas by approximately 5%: 26.4% for the former and 21.7% for the latter. However, for the last two decades, there was a adverse trend since nuclear energy only generated about one-fifth while the other was around 2% more than that.
Turning to the four which made up the smallest proportion of the charts. Whereas the total amount of electricity came from the two energies of hydro in last year was lower than that of 20 years ago for about 1%, the capacity of electricity by oil and other renewables the last 20 years has risen twice in the previous year.
