The pie charts below show the average household expenditures in Japan and Malaysia in the year 2010.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Given are the two pie charts depicting the average each family unit spending on five distinct categories, namely housing, transport, food, health care, and other goods and services in Japan and Malaysia in 2010.
It is conspicuous that dwellers in both countries pay less for health care than the four remaining demands. Furthermore, other goods and services witness the highest expenditure in Japan, while housing takes the lead in spending in Malaysia.
To begin with, Japanese households spent 29% on other goods and services which was higher by 3% than that of Malaysians; however, the reverse was true for the number of money families allocated for food. In addition, more than 30% of Malaysian expended on housing compared to more than a fifth of Japanese spent on it.
When it comes to the outlay on transport and health care, the money that family units in Japan paid for them was 6% and 20% which was higher twofold than Malaysian expended. Perceptibly, the least money was spent on healthcare in Japan with 3% in total.
