The pie charts below shows the average household exoenditure in a country in 1950 and 2010.

The two pie charts illustrate the information about the household expenditure on goods and services in 1950 and 2010. As an overview, the highest amount if money spent on housing in 1950 which replaced by food in 2010.

In 2010, the largest proportion of expenditure was on food while in 1950 it was on housing, with food for just 11.2%. However, there was a great difference in housing expenditure between the two years. In 1950, 72.1% of the total household budget went towards compared to only 22% in 2010.

Further, the amount of money splurged on healthcare and transportation showed increased in the 2010 in comparison to 1950. In addition to this, in 1950, the money spent on education noticed as only 6.6% which declined by 0.3% in 2010.

To sum up, it is immediately obvious that there are some quite significant changes between the two years.
