The maps illustrate a Grange Park of 1920 and at present.
Overall, most of the elements in the park has been changed, however entrance and rose garden remains the same.
In 1920, the park had fountain just between the entrances. On the left of it there was a stage for musicians, and towards the edge were rose gardens and seats. Likewise, on the right side of fountain there was empty space. On the right of entrance of Eldon Street there was a glass house. Far from the glass house towards it north was pond for water plants and rose garden.
Now, Stage for musicians is converted to Amphitheatre for concerts. Rose garden on the north is not changed whereas the other garden and seats are removed. Similarly, fountain is replaced by bigger rose garden that supports seating area on the each side. Children’s play area is constructed in place of pond and the rose garden next to pond is converted to café. Glasshouse and seats are removed to give space to install water features. New entrance underground car park is constructed on the right of water feature.
