The two maps illustrate some changes were made to a park called Grange Park in 1920. After the planned development, the old park was totally renovated.
To begin with, there was a fountain at the center of the park and a stage for musicians at the left side of it when visitors entered from the Eldon Street entrance. Moreover, some seats, rose garden and glasshouse were located beside the that entrance. When entering from the entrance next to the Arnold Avenue, there were seats at the right and pond for water plants at the left. Also, there were rose garden at the both sides of that entrance.
After planned development, the fountain was replaced with a square rose garden which surrounding with seats. At the same time, the rose garden next to the Eldon Street, the stage for musicians and seats next to it were been demolished to make way for amphitheater for concerts. The rose garden at the right side of the entrance beside the Arnold Avenue was been kept. While the another rose garden next to the Arnold Avenue and the pond beside it were been replaced with a café and children’s play area respectively. Lastly, the glasshouse and the seats which almost linked with it were been removed to make place for a water feature and there was an entrance of underground car park next to it.
