This table shows information regarding the percentage of students who joined four different categories of high school in the years 2000, 2005 and 2009.
Overall, what stands out from the table is that both of the Voluntary-controlled and Community Schools had the highest percentage of those who attended high schools over this period, however, the Specialist and Grammar schools went to have a similar proportion of student‘ joint in a significant decline.
To begin, the percentage of pupils in Voluntary-controlled schools was the highest among the four types of secondary schools in 2000 (52%), although it fell in a remarkable decrease to reach (20%) by the year of 2009. On the other hand, Community schools had a small proportion of pupils in 2000 (12%) then it went into a dramatically increase by 2009 to hit the highest percent at all (58%).
Significantly, both of the Specialist and Grammar schools had a quite similar percentage of students who prefer them to choose for high school accomplishment, it was minority as it ranged only between (10%) and (24%) over the mentioned period.
