Environmental issues have become a major concern of our time, and many believe that extinction of specific species of plants and animals is the major threat. However, the consequences of climate change are alarming and therefore, the debate is rather complex, as we shall see here.
On the one hand, people who support the idea point to the ecological changes while highlighting the imbalances in the ecological system. They state the example of a particular food chain, where If the number declines for the tiger, the figure for deer rises significantly which leads to disappearance of grasslands and consequently leads to disappearance of other species depending on the grass fields as their food source is in scarcity. Furthermore, the people who support go further mentioning the negative effects caused by specific tree loss. They mention data showing the dependent animals losing their habitats as a result. Moreover, such occurrence makes the situation even more grave as these animals rely on these trees for food as well.
In contrast, the opponents count climatic changes as the root cause of the recent rise in natural disasters. It is true that floods, tsunamis and other calamities related to sea level rising are occurring more frequently than before causing people to lose their houses, business and thousands of dollars. Furthermore, they think that due to extreme weather our planet is changing rapidly, and the consequences are probably far flung than we can assume. While indicate the global rise in the temperature and the changed patterns in seasons they indicate that these are continuously damaging our farming and it's produce. It seems that animal habitats and ecological chains are also not safe from these effects. Recent researches also support this view and many experts are persistently expressing their concerns about the global food crisis. It appears that the issue of changed climate is far more severe and can be called a major threat to life itself on our planet.
In conclusion, I feel the extinction of different trees and other lives certainly has its major impacts, however, The changing patterns in climate can lead us towards a catastrophe where life itself could be under danger due to food scarcity and that is a possibility there for both -- humans and animals.
