the table below shows information and predictions regarding the change in percentage of the population aged 65 and above in three countries

The provided table illustrates the variations of 65-year-old seniors and above in three countries, namely Canada, Germany and UK between 1998 and 2030.

Overall, from 1998 to 2030, the number of elderly people aged 65 and over steadily increased in Germany, Canada and The UK. The figure for older people in Germany reached the highest point, while The UK experienced the smallest percentage of 65-year-old seniors and above.

In 1998, the number of German in their sixites was 20.45%, which was the country with the largest elderly population, followed by Canada with 16.32%. The UK showed only 14.23% of the elderly and ranked the lowest position. After two years later, the percentage of old people in Germany and Canada rose by roughly 5%, however, the quantity of elderly in the Uk grew insignificantly nearly 0.6%.

Looking at the prediction of the elderly rates in 2030, Germany and Canada will continue going up to by 5%. Suprisingly, seniors from UK, who are 65 years old, will rise sequentially from 14.89% in 2000 to 20.35% in 2030. By contrast, this amount is still less than the percentage of older people in Germany and Canada after 22 years.
