The table provides information about the proportions of the population 65 years old and over in three countries (Canada, Germany and UK ) in 12 years period starting from 1988.
Overall, the populations of three countries fluctuated steeply from 1988 to 2000. In fact, the number of Germany was highest in 1988, through the populations of UK fell slightly from 1988 to 2000.
The figures for Germany was 20.45% in 1988. After peaking at 20.45% in 1988 Germany’s population to decline sharply by 4.4% in 2000. This number was higher than in the other countries in 1988.
On the other hand, the percentage of the populations was 16.32% in 1988 in Canada higher than in the populations of UK by 2,09%. In 2000, this number of Canada a gradual rise to 20.67%, while the proportions of UK hit the lowest point of 12.68% in 2000.
