Getting back to the details, in both years Nokia dominated the worldwide market, at the rate of 32,5% in 2005 and 35% in 2006. Motorola experienced a moderate increase by 3,4%, compared to 1,1% of Sony Ericsson.
On the contrary, the remaining figures witnessed a downward trend in proportion. There was a modest decrease in Samsung and LG market share by only 0,9% and 0.3% respectively. Additionally, other companies went down radically from 19,2% in 2005 to 16,2% in 2006. Only 2.4% of mobile phones were manufactured by BenQ mobile in 2006, which was the lowest point of the whole table.
