The pie charts depicts the trend in yearly expenditures of a school in the UK according to five different expenses. The study covers the period from 1981 to 2001.
Overall, it can be seen that within twenty years, the highest expense made by the school went to teachers whereas the least was allocated for insurance. However, the annual budget for insurance made a steady increase while furniture and equipment made a variable increment.
In 1981, the biggest percentage of the schools annual budget was provided for the teacher's compensation at 40 % which was followed by the salaries of other staffs at 28 %. This was followed by furnitures and equipments and resources with a similar rate of 15 %. The least proportion was given to insurrance at 2 %.
After ten years, the salaries for teachers increased by 10 % while less than a quarter of the total budget per annum were spent for resources and other workers' salaries. The annual insurance for teachers increase by a percent while the rate for furniture and equipment abated by three folds.
Conversely, in 2001, there was a decrease in the annual spending for teacher's salaries at, resources and other workers' pay with 45 %, 15 % and 9 % respectively. However, furniture and equipment remarkably rose more than four folds while the expense for insurance doubled.
