The three pie chart illustrate the of album on music genre in the United State for the years 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Overall, it is clearly that there was a little deviation sales based on genre in three years, though there was some slight shifts over time. Whereas rock was the most popular genre, followed by alternative and R&B, country and jazz were the least popular.
To be specific, it was seen that the proportion of Rock album was the dominant genre, accounting for approximately 40% during the time. In the year 2010, rock music sales marginally exceeded the sales of alternative and R&B combined. In addition, alternative and R&B each represented about a fifth of the market for three years. In contrast, the percentage of country music sales increased gradually by 5% through 3 years, and stood at nearly 20% in 2010. Finally, Jazz was the least common genre, capturing only 3% of total sales during all three period.
