The given bar chart provides insights into different kinds of export earnings of one nation from five product categories between 2015 and 2016. And, the table gives information about how the proportion of each category of exports altered in 2015 and 2016.
Looking from an overall perspective, it can be seen that in both 2015 and 2016, petroleum products dominated the groups of export earnings, while textiles are negatively correlated. Most products showed an upward trend from 2015 to 2016, barring gems and jewelry.
In detail, export earnings from petroleum products went up slightly from 61 billion dollars in 2015 to 63 billion dollars in the following year, which was roughly a 3% increase over a year. Also, a similar trend could be observed in engineered goods, with nearly 8.5% of the increasing percentage. In 2015, export revenue in engineered goods account for approximately 58% before climbing up to 62% and ranked the second position, following petroleum products.
Turning to the other product categories, textiles were the lowest-earning sources, with only 26% in 2015, after experiencing an upsurge, they constituted nearly 32% in 2015. Moreover, in 2015 and 2016, earnings from agricultural goods had no change, standing at 31%. The opposite was seen in gems and jewelry. Specifically, in 2015, revenue from gems and jewelry was 43% and decelerated to 41% in 2016.
