The graph below compares changes in the birth rates of China and the USA between
1920 and 2000.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make
comparisons where relevant.

The given chart illustrates the birth rates changing in two countries namely China and the USA during a 80-year period.
A first glance at the graph reveals that the number of children offspring fluctuated in both two these countries between 1920 to 2000.
At the beginning of the period, the figures of birth rates in China and the USA were 10 and over 10 respectively. After experiencing a fluctuated trend during 15 years, the number of giving birth rate was 15 in China, followed by 13 of the USA. Then they witnessed a downward trend in next 5 years. In 1940, the birth rate of China was 5 and it remained unchanged until 1945. However, standing at the same level at 5, that of the USA was recorded as the lowest point.
After increasing rapidly, the birth rate of China reached a peak at 20 in 1950, compared to 15 of the USA. It is an interesting note that there was a plummet after an oscillation which made the gap of birth rates between two nations widen in 50 remaining years.
