You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

The graphs below show the enrolments of overseas students and local students in Australian universities over a ten year period.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

You should write at least 150 words.

These two graphs show the number of students, both overseas and local, that are enrolled in Australian universities in the 2000s. Both graphs show the positive results about how developed Australia's education is.

About the overseas students, the graph records no decreasion in the number of new commencing students. Therefore, from just 20000 students in 2001, the number of overseas students had a jump to 80000, 4 times as it was 9 years ago. The biggest jump was in 2009 when the total number of commencing students increased 33% from 2008, that's 40000 over 30000.

The line records the number of local students is not straight and has more ups and downs than the other graph. From 2001 to 2007, the number of local students in Australian universities repeatedly increased, from 400000 to 600000 students. But sadly, the number of new commencing students didn't have any distinct increasion and still closed to 200000 in 10 years. From 2007 to 2010, because the number of commencing students had balanced with graduated students, the total of local students stay unchanged.

These two graphs don't just show numbers, it gives you information about how growing Australia's education is
