Hi John,
Hope you are enjoying your vacation? I am writing to you to appologize for breaking your favourite bowl a couple of days ago.
First of all, let me explain you, it happened accidentally while I was preparing dinner. After then I decided to make something sweet as you know I am keen on deserts. When I put it into your bowl to taste, all of a sudden, our friend Liz was standing behind me to frighten me. The time I looked at her I got scared and it fell out of my hand and shattered into pieces.
I am really sorry for this. I know this word is not sufficient since I have hurted your sentiments. You have already warned me before that and told me that this is something you want to kept in your kitchen wardrobe forever because it was highly expensive thing you bought with your first salary.
Since it was my fault, I have to pay for this and you know what? I got exactly the same piece for you from a shop. And you should accept this as a thanksgiving gift as you have helped me a lot in providing me a stay in your home while I was new here.
