You have just finished your master’s degree and need to leave your current part-time job to search for full-time employment.
Write a letter to your current employer. In your letter:
– explain why you will not be able to pursue a full-time job in his/her company
– say why you’ve enjoyed working for him/her
– tell him/her how much longer you will continue to work for him/her.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to put light on the news of a job offer I recently received. As I have completed my final term at college and can devote more time to work, I will be leaving Cooper Inc. as a part-time trainee.
Working for the organization as a part-time trainee was an impeccable experience for me. All the office staff was amicable, and the work environment was encouraging. I would be delighted to work for Cooper Inc. as a full-time employee, but I am afraid it might hamper with my prospect of gaining varied knowledge. Also, the new job comes with a hefty financial benefit, which is hard to refuse.
As per my appointment letter, the joining date is 15th May. So the last day of my work at Cooper Inc. would be 12th May. I request you to clear all my documentation work before stipulated time to avoid the last-minute rush.
I am thanking you in advance.
Yours sincerely,
Rachana
