You have recently read an article in the newspaper about someone you know personally. You found that some information is wrong.
Write a letter to the editor to inform him about it. In your letter, write:
• what the article is about
• what the error is
• what you expect the editor to do
Hi Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter in regards to the health article that is being published in your renowned newspaper every week. Last week, the article was related to the brain surgeons and their specialities in which the details of famous surgeon Dr.John was mentioned. Owing to the close relationship with him, I have noticed some errors in the information provided about him.
Firstly, he is specialised in medical sciences and has done a masters degree in neurology from the All India Medical Science Institute in Delhi, however, in the article, his academic qualification was wrongly described as MBBS degree from government college Amritsar. Secondly, the information related to his current work location was also incorrect, he is currently serving as a government servant in a local charitable hospital instead of Akash Neuro-hospital.
Considering the inaccuracies of the details, I request you to correct them as suggested otherwise this might create a hassle for the concerned public. Also, I urge you to publish the same article with corrected information in the next journal.
I will look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Prabhjot Kaur
