You have a spare room in your flat or apartment and you want to rent it to a student. Write a letter to the director of the accommodation office at the local college. In your letter:

• Explain where your apartment is

• Describe the room

• What kind of person would you like to rent it to.

Dear Sir,

I am John from Singapore, Pursuing 2nd year in Oxford University. I wish to inform you about a vacant room in my apartment and I need your help to offer it for rent for any university student.

I live in Sunflower apartments near to the Times Square building. The apartment is in the central location of Singapore. It takes around 5 minutes to walk to the nearest metro station and ten minutes to the bus interchange. The apartment has all the amenities like a grocery store, swimming pool, and a private gym. The flat has 3 bedrooms, a living room beside a small kitchen.

The vacant room is quite spacious, has large windows, partially furnished with a bed and a table. An attached washroom and an air-conditioner are equipped in the room. The Internet and the washing area is common for all the inmates.

I would like to offer the room for a person who can speak English and preferably an Asian. Restrictions on cooking. Good to have a roommate who doesn't drink and work in the night shifts. Please help me in finding a roommate and give my contact number if anyone is interested in.

Thanks,

John.
