You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:

• explain what you had to do to overcome the problem at the time
• say what action you would like the manager to take
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the heating facility during my stay at your hotel for three days from 1st to 3rd April, 2019. There was a thunderstorm in the city that time because of which it was exceedingly cold, even though it is normally quite warm in the month of April. Unfortunately, the heater in my room did not work at all. Despite registering a complaint to the hotel staff, it was not fixed on time which left me extremely unhappy.
In order to overcome the issue at that time, I had to take severe actions. The room was so cold at night that I had to wear my jacket and socks to warm myself under the blanket. It was a dreadful experience sleeping like that and I regret my decision of staying at your hotel.
I would like you to issue a complete refund as the amount of $300 per night should not be charged if you cannot provide basic facilities like heating. If you do not respond positively, I would take this issue to higher authorities so no one else will be having this problem.
