You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you to request your attention to the cooling system in your hotel which did not work properly during the heat wave last weekend.
I stayed in the room number 20 in your hotel where I suffered a terrible boiling condition. As you know, there was an unusual extreme temperature last weekend. Unfortunately, the air condition did not work properly in my room as it often stopped after running for a while. Although, I tried to contact the reception, they failed to arrange any technical help.
In order to survive, I had to take a shower regularly and opened all the windows during the night which caused me sleepless because of the noise from the streets. As a result, I got very tired in the morning and did not enjoy my time visiting the city.
I recommend you to use a central cooling system that is better for an extreme weather condition. Moreover, I hope that you can refund my booking fee to compensate for which I had suffered.
